Overall Satisfaction with Toggl
Toggl is a time tracking application available on your desktop, tablet, or mobile phone. We use Toggl to track time so that we can bill clients more accurately and understand the extent to which the hours we invest on our own business help us progress. Whenever we ramp up some contractors on a project, each submits their time using Toggl.
- Toggl makes it super easy to identify your start and end times, total times, and tasks.
- Toggl lets you track time by project and sub-project.
- With one of the paid versions, Toggl lets you set rates, ties to your calendar for automatic time billing, send you reminders, and helps you measure project and individual profitability. We will probably buy into a paid program later in 2019. We are big fans of Toggl.
- Occasionally, I find that I have to enter time from earlier in the week. It takes more clicks to do that…
- I would love it if Toggl would work with Alexa, Siri, or Google. If it did, I would be able to say something like "Hey, Bill two hours for the ABC project this afternoon from 2 to 5" or "remind me tonight to enter my time for client XYZ." That would let me capture more hours and be more mobile.
- Toggl has let me taken on more hourly assignments (when my customers prefer that billing method) with great comfort on both sides due to the detailed nature of Toggl's reports
- Toggl has Help me capture 10 to 15% more billable hours compared to the same period last year that I studied
- Toggl has never let me down or lost any data ;-)
Toggl is just always available on my desktop, it's low bandwidth and doesn't consume a lot of system resources, and entering time is flexible and intuitive. All other programs I've tried require you to stop what you're doing to enter a new project or a new client. Not with Toggl. Its interface lets you add projects and clients easily and in seconds (seconds means less than half a minute).
