Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have three users across our office who use Trend Micro Smart Protection Suite--two laptops and one desktop. The product has served us well, being integrated across the three Windows platforms. It is the main virus protection that we use, and we appreciate the fact that we can have up to five pieces of equipment on our license.

Pros and Cons

Integration amongst platforms
Automatic, resettable scan times
Password manager is an excellent tool with all the passwords that we maintain

Issues with setting time
Difficult to interrupt a file scan
Have had to reinstall it several times

Return on Investment

Makes work more efficient
Reduces maintenance of a password file
Allows us to feel secure that our data is secure

McAfee Advanced Threat Defense

I have used McAfee products in the past, and while I have been satisfied with McAfee products and their ease of use, I am much more impressed with Trend Micro Smart Protection Suite with XGen, with its capacity and ease of use. Our department is run even more efficiently than before.

I have only had to contact technical support once, which in itself shows what a good product this is, and I received spot-on advice from the person I contacted.

Trend Micro Smart Protection Suite is more than handy and helpful to store passwords for websites and applications. In our Finance Department, there are literally hundreds of passwords to keep organized and it is difficult to maintain, particularly with changes. The ability to schedule scans during non-peak work times is another great feature that puts the Trend Micro Smart Protection Suite on my top ten list!

Trend Micro is my new go-to trend!
