Overall Satisfaction with Tricentis qTest

We use Tricentis qTest for our test case management in our testing phases of product development, validation of various products internally, and development of customer instances. A major piece that we use is the integration with JIRA. This shows a connection of what we're working on with the proof of testing of what we actually did and what the actual results of that testing were.

Pros

  • Traceability for test cases
  • Traceability for test requirements
  • Linking back to our JIRA instance

Cons

  • Uptime
  • Communication
  • Support
  • Better test case management
  • Proof for audits
When the product works it has helped greatly. We're currently in a place where we have to use workarounds to get the product to work properly and there are times where the work around doesn't work

Do you think Tricentis qTest delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Tricentis qTest's feature set?

Yes

Did Tricentis qTest live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Tricentis qTest go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Tricentis qTest again?

No

We've experienced a lot of down time over the years with little to no explanation. Another frustrating piece is things randomly have disappeared on us in qtest. Tricentis' communication with unexpected and expected downtime is very poor. There is very little room to prepare and warn our users for things like that in current state
