Overall Satisfaction with Unitrends
Unitrends is being used to back up all of our servers and VM. We use Windows server 2012 R2 but still have a legacy windows server 2003 on a VM. It is being managed by myself and backs up everything in the district. The "business problem it addresses" is the risk of data loss or corruption that exists in any server environment.
- Fast restoration and easy set up.
- Fast backup.
- Is based on lynx and therefor unlikely to be effected by a virus outbreak on a windows server environment.
- It would be nice if it had more affordable ways of archiving.
- So far we have had no major data loss and so have not had to really put it to the test. We do use it for small recoveries due to accidental deletions and it works great for that.
- Evault
Evault is cloud based but rather expensive compared to Unitrends.
