Unitrends is our Backup and Recovery plan that we use for offsite/cloud storage in the event of a disaster to our server room. This is what allows our network specialists to sleep at night.
- We have Unitrends set up to automatically sync at night.
- Once we set it up there is very little maintenance.
- Unitrends was one of the first affordable cloud-based backups available.
- If we exceed our storage capacity, it takes time to determine what to omit.
- We know our data is replicated and available outside of our server room.
- Using Unitrends meets one of our insurance objectives also.

We have a couple more years on our contract. Since we have purchased this, there are many more choices out there. Within the next year we will do research again to determine what will best suit our needs.
