Overall Satisfaction with Unitrends Data Center Backup and Recovery
As a reseller we aim to use the Unitrends devices to address specific backup and recovery needs for different styles of business. Currently with a lot of different businesses having transitioned to a hybrid model for their infrastructure, the Unitrends device does well in addressing a local and cloud backup need for different situations.
- Recovery speed.
- Easy to use portal.
- Reporting.
- Specific data set limitations (novel in particular).
- Up until recently - channel partnership deal registration and communication was very poor.
- Device price (has been better).
- For the sites I have implemented this with we have seen a million dollar company use the full recovery system (cloud) during a crash situation.
- We have seen data recovery in a large ransomware attack flawlessly recovered.

They are similar, Datto is a great fit for smaller businesses I feel, they have a great space in multiple sites and have custom builds for larger business. However I feel some higher end enterprise level setups require larger devices. Education is a great spot oval for Unitrends over Datto in some cases, because of the data size.
