Overall Satisfaction with VanillaSoft

We use VanillaSoft company-wide. We use it to build individual databases for our clients. We do B2B appointment setting, so we import telemarketing lists and have it set up so that the data goes into the correct fields. We were able to customize it to fit our needs and it works perfectly. I work with VanillaSoft both on the front end and the back end. I like that we can have "administrators" that can make changes on the back end. I would say that VanillaSoft is the hub of our business. All of our clients information is stored in their individual databases along with their prospect lists. We also have it set up so the callers can make calls and make notes directly on the record. We have individual client calendars in each of the databases so the callers can place their appointment on the calendar and then also several clients that sync their calendars to it. We are able to track and run reporting on everything we need. We can track production/amount of appointments, who scheduled the appointment, how many calls it took to schedule the appointment, how long the caller was on the phone, etc.
  • One of my favorite features is the ability to customize routing. Quite often a caller is told by a prospect to call back at a certain date and time, the caller can set that and the record will pop up in the front of the database on that date and time letting you know that you have a call to make.
  • We also send out information on behalf of our clients to prospects, which we do directly out of VanillaSoft. After the information is emailed the system will actually let us know when it was opened and moved that prospect record to the front of the database to be a priority in call rotation.
  • I also love that we were able to customize it so that the callers have everything they need to see right in front of them. We have a area that has the prospects information, name and address, then an area that has required information fields with questions the caller needs to ask and place answers in the appropriate fields, then we have an area with a notepad, an area to access the calendar, and an area that gives the caller all the previous activity on the record.
  • These are considered strengths for us as all of these examples make my job and the callers job much easier and saves us a ton of time and money.
  • It really needs an "undo" button. I can't tell you how many times I was typing notes etc and hit a wrong button and all was gone so I had to start over.
  • This may be the way we have it set up....we have term codes which are how the callers terminate a call they were on. They finish the call, then type notes in the notepad section of what happened, then they terminate the call. But there are times that I need to go onto a record and just leave a note but don't need to terminate it as anything. If there is a way to do that, it would make my life a lot easier.
  • Bar none VanillaSoft is the best value for the money. The investment/cost is nothing really compared to others like it. I do not however take part in this sort of thing at our company and do not know the ROI.
TeleMagic is a very old CRM software, in fact I don't think they even make it anymore. Because it was a dinasuar so to speak it did not have nearly the functionality that VanillaSoft does, it was really slow and reporting required a lot of manual input. SalesForce works pretty well, but again it just didn't do what we need it to do. VanillaSoft is by far better than both of these platforms put together...LOL The cost is reasonable and the functionality is priceless.
I feel VanillaSoft is absolutely the best CRM that I have ever used. I have been in the telemarketing industry for over 15 years and have used many different platforms. By far VanillaSoft is the best. Easy to use, easy to track progress, and stores everything we need to engage the prospect once we get them on the phone. VanillaSoft is well suited in everything we do on a daily basis. If I had to pick something that it can't do very well and is not suited for is sending information for out clients. Currently the information has to be in text format, no logos or pictures etc. It would be nice if we could import any type of information that our clients would like us to send.
