Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Availability Suite
Veeam is used both for a total backup solution for our company, but also as a resold product to provide total backup solutions for all of our clients. This also gives us the ability to replicate our clients' data back to our own data center.
- Veeam provides highly configurable total backups that integrate into VMware seamlessly.
- Veeam also provides the ability to replicate whole VMs back to our central data center.
- Veeam has both web based and Windows desktop clients.
- There's very little to complain about with Veeam. The only point of contention is that the web UI could benefit from a better feature set.
- Veeam's web UI can also be a bit slow.
- Veeam has provided a scalable solution that has allowed us to resell backup services to our clients and provide reliable replication and backup solutions.
- Symantec Backup Exec and Acronis Backup & Recovery
While other backup solutions are generally good, Veeam is the only one that fully integrates with our vCenter environment to provide full backups, snapshots, and even offsite replication.
