Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

It's being used to backup 95% of our infrastructure and solves the storage-related issues we were running into with its deduplication.

Pros

  • Great success rate on backups.
  • Easy restores.
  • Easy to setup a job.

Cons

  • Tapes.
  • Ease of lab setup.
  • With the ease of restores they've shifted to a lower tear of support to do them.
  • Less monitoring of jobs is needed with the success rate of them.
We backup to storage and tape and found both methods of restores quick and easy to do so. Less time needed to do a recovery than previous methods.
having one interface to view our entire backup strategy has made it quick and easy to maintain backups and restores start to finish.
The ease of use just makes life easier.
We use VMware and haven't had issues with backups at all since migrating to Veeam.
