Veeam Backup & Replication - Great solution for server farms

Veeam Backup & Replication is being used by our organization to backup our end-user Citrix environment. We use this for the ability to backup a large volume of data without impacting performance as much as possible. We don't use it for standalone server environments as it doesn't seem to be the best solution for that type of setup.

We have about 20 servers all virtual being protected by Veeam Backup & Replication in our organization. This is more than first anticipated. We had to come up with a different solution for our Citrix server farm as the standard backup solutions were not going to work for this type of environment. At first, it was a test, but now it's our sole Citrix backup solution.

We have benefited from this. We have been able to backup critical customer data on our cloud environment. While still not the cheapest solution, we need to do whatever we need to do to ensure we have a good customer backup. Afterall, as an MSP, that is what we sell--affordable and reliable solutions.

We've had a full server crash in our cloud environment. Being virtual, we were able to quickly fire up a new server and just restore the data from Veeam. If it wasn't for this solution, our customers would have been out completely for days. We were able to get them back up in a matter of hours.
