- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Immutable storage to protect against ransomware
- “Instant” recovery or portability between platforms (physical > virtual > cloud-hosted)

Our virtual workloads have been steadily increasing over the past 10 years. Some policy restrictions have prevented us from migrating to the cloud and leveraging Veeam there.

Our virtual workloads have been steadily increasing over the past 10 years. Some policy restrictions have prevented us from migrating to the cloud and leveraging Veeam there.
- We are non profit so it is hard to gauge ROI
- Veeam has been helpful with a few recoveries that have taken place
- Knowing our data is encrypted at rest gives us the peice of mind that our data is secure
We were compelled to move to Veeam because our previous backup and disaster recovery solution was completely tape based. This compounded efforts to meet RTO and RPO requirements. Moving to the 3-2-1 rule with Veeam has provided us with a high degree of assurance assurance that our data availability is maintained.
We are not currently leveraging any cloud solutions in conjunction with Veeam.
Our file servers are all backed up and Veeam allows indexed retrievability for files and folders.
