Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
In conjunction with automation, it is used to manage backup servers and continuously update contingency plans in the event of a significant network disaster, when recovery is necessary. The platform addresses the scalability issue we've had in the past. Using automation, routine tasks and workflows are completed faster to enhance operational efficiency. The scope encompasses personnel data and specific financial data.

There are over 100, and we are looking to add more. More than anticipated - my organization is going through a lot of changes rapidly, so some things were unplanned and just added to the list. Transitioning from a medium-sized organization to a much larger enterprise has been a challenge, but the platform has made many uphill challenges significantly easier to overcome.
- Using much less time to perform some task has been invaluable.
- Cost is still a bit high but we think the long term benefits are worth it.
- Streamlining work loads has never been easier.
The constantly evolving cybersecurity landscape called for a more robust backup plan in the event of a disaster or attack. Organizations are increasingly facing more sophisticated attacks, which necessitate more robust contingency plans and alternative methods for completing tasks. Previously, the easiest thing would be to shut the system down until a solution is rolled out, but no one knows how costly that would be.
Cloud computing enables faster access to data from various environments without compromising security. Automating the shutdown of VMs when they are no longer in use helps to prevent VM sprawl. In addition, cloud features provide more flexibility for legacy platforms, which can be a challenge when integrating systems.
We have barely used this feature.
- Rubrik, Commvault Cloud Rewind and Acronis Advanced Backup
It's hard to compare - you have to evaluate your organization's needs to pick what is best suited. Additionally, factors that require planning, such as an ever-changing and evolving landscape, may necessitate adjusting your approach to a problem, which may include considering a different platform.
