Overall Satisfaction with Vena

I mainly use Vena for financial planning, forecasting and reporting and it helps us centralize data and automate budgeting tasks across departments and we also rely on it to simplify complex financial operations and reduce manual work.

Pros

  • templates are great, really handy and we’ve been using quite a few of them
  • its dashboard is easy to work on and reporting is accurate—it helped us make better decisions
  • Vena's native integration with Microsoft 365 and Power BI makes deep financial modeling easier

Cons

  • Vena is designed from the ground up to be a complicated platform and it’s a really steep learning curve
  • every little thing I wanted to add needed paid support and in the end, we only implemented a fraction of what we originally planned
  • we managed to cut expenses by 20% from the previous year
  • it gave us one single source of truth and got rid of a lot of manual data consolidation
  • we now automate data aggregation from ERP and CRMs, which saves a ton of time
Customer service is great and very responsive—they really try to help, the Vena Academy offers solid training and I even earned a certification through it. I like that they’re using the latest software practices and constantly improving things.
With its accurate reporting and version control, we’ve made more confident financial calls. The platform really reduced the confusion we had from too many spreadsheets and it also helped us track everything across departments more clearly.

Do you think Vena delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Vena's feature set?

Yes

Did Vena live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Vena go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Vena again?

Yes

I’d say if you’re already comfortable with Excel, Vena’s a pretty smooth transition. The support team is great and helps a lot during setup. But yeah, it takes work to implement well and get real value.
