Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Viewpoint Vista as a Project Manager and Department Manager. The major problems this addresses are the communication between our Accounting Team and us along with how we communicate with our project owners. Bills and documents were created by hand before, and now everything flows seamlessly together to make a great products. Our whole team will now use this software to improve our communication.

System is so large and detailed that there are multiple ways of doing things. Being trained and setup using that one method would be very helpful.
Some functions do not have a very detailed help section.
There is some large confusion with interfacing and initializing. These steps may need to be trained on more heavily.

Return on Investment

Has increased the amount of tracking capabilities possible
Has decreased our speed of input for the time being as we are still finalizing implementation strategies.
Has made it possible to do all documentation through the software instead of spreadsheets.

Ease of Integration

I would give it this rating, because every time we have looked at integrating something new the Viewpoint Vista implementation team has been fairly easy to work with. Other companies or software's that we are looking to implement or tie to Viewpoint Vista have struggled even more to make the connection.

Data-Driven Decision Making

We are still currently in the final steps of implementation in regards to tracking job to date costs across contract items, but we very much see the possibilities and look forward to tracking those items and seeing how our jobs are doing from week to week.

Trimble ProjectSight and Deltek ComputerEase

We choose to go with Viewpoint Vista, because it was a great option that allowed complete connection from the Project Managers to the Accounting Team. It allowed us to have one platform or links into the platform from ProjectSight to ensure all of us stay connected without having disconnects in discussion or changes to a project.

Viewpoint Vista is well suited for companies that have multiple departments or needs to track multiple branches. It is also very simple for sending out bills.

This system would be overkill for a company with fewer that 50 employees in my mind.
