Iuse Vmaker mainly for creating short Vlogs and video introductions for my Podcast.
I like that it allows you to easily select the portion of the screen to be recorded. Plus it allows Picture In Picture with the webcam video also being captured. On paid plans, it also allows you to set a webcam virtual background which most competitors do not offer.
I moved from Loom since they no longer allow you to download videos on the Free plan.

- Super easy to use
- Wish they allowed virtual webcam backgrounds or blurred background on the Free plan.
- Some of the messaging on the site is a bit inconsistent re pricing of the plans (some refer to annual pricing paid monthly vs monthly pricing)
- Screen+Webcam capture
- Virtual and blurred webcam backgrounds
- Very reasonable price vs competitors
- Cloud based
- Makes recording video intros for my Podcast super easy
- I can record from anywhere (eg my AirBnB while traveling and still look professional
- Totally affordable for my relatively small business
I used to use Loom a LOT but then they started blocking downloads of videos on the Free plan. And their pricing is high vs Vmaker so I made the switch.
I like how Vmaker lets you choose the part of the screen to record.
I also love how Vmaker lets you choose a virtual background or blur the background of your webcam for picture in picture recording.
Great product with a very fair price.
