Overall Satisfaction with VMTurbo Operations Manager
We are using VMTurbo Operations Manager to provide us with an optimized virtual server environment globally. As we transition to a Cisco UCS platform the performance data has been beneficial to our daily operations and troubleshooting scenarios. Global IT and Application Server support teams such as SQL, SharePoint, and SAP all use VMTurbo for operations management. Not only has it stabilized our global environment, the capacity planning features have been extremely helpful in hardware migrations and future deployments. It is a tremendous asset for every engineer.
Pros
- VMTurbo's calculated approach to resource utilization is the most effective method we have seen in our product reviews and has been proven in our daily vm operations. It is because of this we are confident in our effort towards full automation.
- VMTurbo's customer management team does a stellar job of communicating with us and making resources available to us to make our implementation as smooth as possible and building product knowledge within our internal teams.
Cons
- The need for the fabric module for Cisco UCS detailed management was something I found out by attending VMWorld 2015 so open communications from the account team would be helpful for product availability and knowledge.
- Improved performance in our global VM environment is our number one positive impact.
- An increase in engineer efficiency to resolve VM related performance needs.
VMTurbo's health performance data had more information to believe the recommendations were more viable. Also, the scope of devices available for performance review such as Azure, Cisco UCS, and Nutanix were other key factors. Lastly there were some great product reviews.
