Cons
- Implementing firewall rules can be challenging compared to other firewalls
- While no firewall has significant amounts of onboard logging. WatchGuard is worse than most.
- Visualization of traffic is strange and not something I have ever gotten used to.
- WatchGuard firewalls deliver performance, features, and security in a way that allows me to build a business model around it.
For cost sensitive customers, we used pfsense based products. We have also had to support many other brands of products that our customers have already owned and insisted we continue to use.
