Overall Satisfaction with Acquia DAM (Widen)

My agency uses Acquia DAM (Widen) to manage our digital assets. We also need to be able to share our digital assets among users throughout the state, so an easily accessible cloud-based platform to store and manage our files is important.

Pros

Cons

  • file property details need to be automatically brought in with the files when uploaded into Acquia DAM (Widen)
  • metadata details need to be automatically brought in with the files when uploaded into Acquia DAM (Widen)
  • it's a good digital asset management system
  • easier platform for sharing files than other options
  • very secure platform
I don't have any direct post- sales experience with a Acquia DAM (Widen) support team representative.
It's a digital asset management and sharing platform. There are several cloud based systems out there, of which Acquia DAM (Widen) is one. Our agency chosen for its security features.

File property details do not automatically come along with the files when uploaded into Acquia DAM (Widen). This is a problem.

The DAM does import details like pixel dimensions, file extension, file type, etc. The DAM also supports automatic imports of IPTC, XMP, and Exif metadata entered in embedded metadata fields.
