Overall Satisfaction with Workday Adaptive Planning
We use Adaptive Planning as our primary source of reporting for Managerial Expenses. Intacct remains our source for GAAP reporting. We chose Adaptive because it addressed security gaps that Intacct couldn't address directly. We had to create multiple versions of each report so that wage data was not visible outside any department. The bonus to choosing Adaptive was that it provided a Forecasting/Budgeting tool we did not have.
Pros
- Easy HTML reporting.
- Ability for Excel formatted reporting via Office Connect.
Cons
- The ability to leverage the full functionality of Adaptive requires a higher level of SQL queries not possessed by admin staff.
- Saved time allowing managers to access data real time.
- Ability for long range planning not previously available.
We previously relied on Excel spreadsheets for planning. Adaptive allows collaboration across the company, real-time changes to models, and immediate review of change impacts.
