Overall Satisfaction with XaitPorter

It is being used currently only by the business development department to prepare response to tender documents.
  • Collaboration within a document works well.
  • The publishing engine is very good.
  • The ability to store past RFPs was good and the search function as well.
  • Workflows are good. The ability to control user rights and workflows throughout the document was good.
  • The customer support is excellent.
  • The dashboard is complex and not easily understood. Since we only worked on a few documents at a time, we went straight into the document and never spent time on the dashboard.
  • Being cloud based, the time taken to move from one section of the document to another becomes painful.
  • The word import function could be improved.
  • There are some functionalities in Word that are not available in XaitPorter. For example you can insert pictures within a table in Word but you cant do that in XaitPorter.
  • Definitely increased employee efficiency. We had a bid coordinator role before which is not required anymore.
We haven't evaluated other products. We did have a quick look at the Qvidian website and similar RFP proposal tools but because of the great support we received from XaitPorter, we went straight ahead with them.
XaitPorter is better suited to larger complex documents with a lot of contributors.

Yes - Working on RFP responses requires mission critical support. XaitPorter provides that at a fee, of course.
Yes - We reported several bugs and they were all ironed out very quickly.
All through our RFP responses we have received excellent support. The support team is based in Europe and the U.S. and they work 24/7. I have had chats with U.S. consultants at highly inconvenient times for them and even on public holidays. They've always been happy to help out wherever. In fact my first call was on a public holiday and the consultant was actually on leave. But he was still happy to demonstrate some features for me.
