Overall Satisfaction with Brightmine
Brightmine is a great tool for documents e.g. policies, letter templates etc... I recently used it to create letter templates for our performance management processes. The reason the templates are useful are because you can check whether you have all the right legal elements within it and then personalise it for your company. This is the same for policies. We also use Brightmine for guidance on processes for ER cases.
Pros
- Provides examples of policies that you can use as a guide when updating or creating your own
- Offers guidance on all aspects of HR
- Gives you news updates on recent changes and trends within HR
Cons
- It would be great to introduce an add-on chat function, where you can email a consultant and problem and get advice live.
- Videos where someone is talking through how they'd deal with a scenario.
- Employment advice for other countries e.g. we have an office in Belgium so it might be interesting to expand the offering internationally.
- It helped us create a career break policy which has been taken up by two working mums in order to help retain women at the top of our business.
- We created an enhanced carers and time off for dependents policy.
They have helped us ensure we are compliant in the things we already do e.g. keeping our policies and procedures up to date. We haven't yet had to use it for a complex ER case for example so I'm yet to know how useful the tools will be there.
A huge role. My boss in particular is really keen on keeping our policies fresh. E.g. she introduced a new miscarriage policy and a new menopause policy as part of our initiative to retain senior women in the business.
