Overall Satisfaction with Zocdoc

Zocdoc was used to bring in new patients and direct patients with certain insurances to our practice.
  • advertise
  • integrate with insurance companies
  • high cost for customer acquisition
  • customers cancel and practice has no recourse, but must pay Zocdoc
  • Not enough time to verify the customer is sincere and get their paperwork in before Zoc Doc charges us
  • High cost of service for nurse practitioners
  • High rate of attrition- few customers converted to our practice compared to other methods
  • We were promised one rate per customer acquired, then the posted rate was increased, twice
  • Unable to even charge a no show fee for patients who changed at last minute
  • the service as set up encourages patients to bait and switch to other providers at the last minute
  • there is no way to limit incoming patients to your home state, so people from out of state book and then have to be notified and unbooked, creating extra work and hassle
  • online
  • mobile
  • connected to insurance
  • None
  • None
  • negative effect

Are you happy with Zocdoc's feature set?

No

Did Zocdoc live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Zocdoc go as expected?

No

Would you buy Zocdoc again?

No

If you have dedicated front office or phone support who can immediately call and hound 'booked' patients to get their information in w/in the 24 hours that Zocdoc allows before charging you- this might work- in that case, possibly you could at least charge them a no show fee.
