I was first introduced to Zoom about 7 years ago by a client that needed a basic video conference service. I was immediately impressed by the simplicity of use, which enabled even mid-level technicians to execute events that it was used on. We now use Zoom as the basis of any small video conference across the business, up to large scale full production communication. It is my personal choice for phone and video conferences for internal or external meetings/ I have my own personal account within the business. The number one problem that Zoom addresses for me in comparison to standard phone conferencing (which incidentally is the primary reason I have a personal account) is the moderation. The lack of moderation on our old phone conferencing system made teleconferences very hard to manage if someone's phone went rogue. Zoom allows me to deal with that issue, with the added benefit of video and screen sharing if required.
