Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace
We manage the board of directors meetings as well as the annual meetings with our owners mostly using the Zoom Workplace webinars. We have 150-200 meetings scheduled per year. Many annual owner meetings are short 15 to 30 minute events, and board meetings can be an hour or more. I believe all attendees appreciate being able to see and clearly hear the discussions amongst the participants.
Pros
- Meetings are held professionally with audio and video access for everyone's information.
- Allowing owners to ask questions by Q&A is a great way to somewhat control the process and also gives management opportunity to clearly respond to questions or concerns.
- It is easy to share PowerPoint presentations to display the agenda and information items for all to see.
Cons
- We have tried some hybrid meetings with people on Zoom along with attendees in an offsite room. The audio is not always clear and can cause confusion or anger when ideas cannot be shared.
- Many meetings can now be handled online through Zoom. This eliminates travel expense for the small 5-10 person board meetings, as well as the inconvenience for 100-300 annual meetings.
- Just day to day meetings with internal team members are accomplished quite easily now.
