Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace
As a consulting company, we use Zoom Workplace to host webinars, typically with smaller audiences.
Pros
- Ease of use in scheduling meetings
- Familiarity of platform by invited parties
- New features such as AI Companion
Cons
- Use of AI Companion Docs and Meeting Summary
- Even on a desktop, there a multiple ways to access Zoom Workplace (web, desktop) which may cause confusion when providing or even following instructions on settings, configurations
- The team does prefer Zoom over others (Teams), but more clients are using Teams and sometimes require meetings be held on that platform.
- AI Companion meeting summary has saved us time (and money) by providing us with a base set of meeting minutes and allowing less time to edit and distribute minutes.
As a videoconferencing tool, Zoom stacks up similarly. There are AI Companion tools we haven't seen with Teams yet, but they may be there now or coming soon with Co-Pilot in play on the Microsoft side. I do like having Teams and Sharepoint connections with being able to share documents through the call and chat.
