Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zoom Workplace in our organisation to have external video meetings with prospective clients and current clients. This enables us to talk to clients etc. without having to do in person meetings, saving both our team and the clients time.

It is also used to attend external webinars and training courses.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Teams

Teams is great for internal use. However, for external video calls and meetings, I always opt for Zoom as it is an easier application to use, does not require a (Microsoft) account and the programme is quick and easy to download and use, whereas Teams can be clunky and harder to use for those who are not used to using it.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for training courses that are company wide. However, I do not think it works well for external webinars as your camera is visible to all attendees and they would be able to hear you, which I personally believe can be distracting and not as professional as competitor options like Teams where you can only on see the presenters/content.
