Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

We always use Zoom for our meetings at work. This may be internal (among teammates) or external (with clients), as it's reliable when it comes to video and audio. For internal use, it's for when we discuss our work or new projects and tasks. For external use, we use it to meet prospects and clients to discuss what we offer.

Pros

  • Great video background options for when you're outside
  • Clear and crisp audio that tunes out background noise
  • Easy controls like screen sharing or annotating during meetings

Cons

  • They have AI summary that isn't really helpful as you don't actually see it being provided after a call
  • The maximum 40 minutes per call is too short when you're not a premium user. It could at least be 60 minutes.
  • There are times that video backgrounds are flipped because of the mirror video
  • We have great discussions when using Zoom as the audio and video are both clear.
  • Sometimes, we have to jump to another Zoom room because we used up 40 minutes already which can be a hassle sometimes
  • It sends out reminders which is great during busy days
  • Google Meet
Google Meet's UI isn't very pleasant for me as it makes it hard to use on desktop since it doesn't have a separate app, unlike Zoom. The functionality of Google Meet isn't also the same as Zoom's, which makes it more inconvenient to use in the long run, unless you need longer calls.

Do you think Zoom Workplace delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Zoom Workplace's feature set?

Yes

Did Zoom Workplace live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Zoom Workplace go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Zoom Workplace again?

Yes

Zoom is best for when you're in a 30 to 40-minute meeting and you want to share your screen to discuss various points. It's especially great if there's a lot of participants as it can accommodate a huge number of participants.

It's less useful when you have a free account and need more than 40 minutes as you're restricted to that number of minutes only, which can cause your meeting to get cut off if you're not aware that the time is running out.
