Overall Satisfaction with ZoomInfo

[It's being used for] Targeted database building and demographic enhancement for a number of different divisions within our company.

Pros

  • Give fast turnaround on requested jobs; provide flexibility allowing for completion of complex job requests.
  • List request parameters can be complex and unwieldy and there is dialog to insure what we want is fully understood. Beyond that Zoom allows preliminary findings to be reviewed for final selection and they suppress against records not wanted back in completed file.

Cons

  • Their business type breakouts do not fully match our breakouts, so if there were more sub-categories that were available we might find closer fits for certain targets.
  • The results we have vary depending upon our list needs. In all cases where we have purchased or researched leads we have grown the database for targeted companies or industries. Our results in engaging them reflect on us as well as the quality of the names purchased. When we do our job well in terms of messaging, we get positive ROI.
Each other list source has value for us, and in combination we get value. Zoom has wide reach in the companies it has available, but does not offer (as far we have used) specific competitive or industry conference attendees or exhibitors. Zoom has been a valuable asset in our overall outside list source usage because it has a reasonable cost per name, allows us to do research, and has a staff that works quickly and efficiently when we have specific list requests.
Where we have specific company lists and job titles we are targeting they are well suited. If we wanted to find more information for specific people who attended competitive shows or are part of an industry association, they are less well suited to do that type of match, and we would need to do individual research which would be more time consuming.
