We use Udemy for Business and 360Learning in tandem. They do not have the collaboration feature, which really gives 360Learning an advantage. However, not being able to track the status of external programs does make that a little tricky to control.

360Learning allowed us to stimulate and engage our collaborators during the pandemic. Best practices and knowledge are now shared on the platform. We have built training programs and made partnerships with training catalogs to provide resources to our collaborators. We also designed onboarding for the newcomers. It is really appreciated at Leyton.

Enrolling is very easy and [accessible], courses are varied and quite intriguing, the specifics of every course given are quite useful for current businesses because you can educate your colleagues or your team through this tool and hit the ground running. This is very simple, online courses are super easy to access and very well programmed. The speed of the courses is also [adequate].

Pros
360Learning
  • Data storage and organization of training by labor department to directly focus the training according to the area that each work team needs.
  • As a process manager I am in charge of evaluating that each mechanism is working properly, it is then how having a monitoring section facilitates my work and offers all the necessary characteristics that allow me to reinforce my work to do the best for professional training.
  • A/B tests that give us the possibility to test the implementation of different modules.
  • Easy to use tool, completely intuitive and offers most of the time optimal options making the tools adapt to what we need to do.

Cons
360Learning
  • The search field for videos isn't as robust as we need. It only searches videos that the user has already watched rather than searching all available videos.
  • Ability to edit the videos recorded in the platform.
  • Ability to manually mark courses as complete for a group of users.
  • Ability to create multiple questions graded quizzes in the platform - rather than 1 question at a time.

  • The investment for many courses may exceed what some companies can budget.
  • The app should be in better sync with the website; furthermore, sometimes the UI is slow and sluggish.

Usability
360Learning
You don't really need to be trained to use it, it's like social media. If not, there's full documentation available, it's not a steep learning curve at all. There's lots of advice about how to better use the platform too. I don't see any need for improvement here but left a 9/10 JUST in case.

The support of the person that made the courses varies some are fast others are very slow to get any feedback or help. A knowledge base could be helpful. I haven tried to contact Udemy for Business for platform support reasons. The web platform overall seems to be stable and the same across all devices.

So we have a subscription to microsoft that has learning as well (provided by former lynda) and that doesn't do as well as 360Learning does, nor does it allow you the ability to create courses, everything is custom built by Lynda or third party resources so the ability to view great up to date content and to be able to create our own has been a huge sales point.

I'd say Udemy is the best, or amongst the best, because it has so much content, is easy to use, and integrates with large businesses quite well.

  • The most important impact Udemy has had in our Business is that continuing education is making them happier for a low cost, and everyone can choose a topic of their interest and the interest of the company.
  • It has reduced the amount of people quitting their jobs because we care about their personal growth.
  • Some of our areas have become more efficient.
  • Remember that it is less expensive to train people even if they leave your company than it is having someone not trained with a lack of knowledge in your company!
