Electronic tax payment and e-filing services are not available in all states so the system may be less appropriate in jurisdictions where there is a lack of automation on the back-end. This lack of automation can be overcome by a payroll processing provider that has good internal processes and an understanding of how to handle their clients' filings/payments directly with these unsupported states

I would recommend Darwinbox to anyone who is looking for a modern Human Resource Management System (HRMS) for a small to medium size organization, it is power-packed with quite a lot of feature sets that'll help to eradicate and bring down the spending and efforts of managing multiple platforms. But Darwinbox is not that suitable for a larger organization with more than 500 people since there are several other enterprise-grade HRMS solutions that are more robust, scalable and well architected for the larger organization.

Cons

The site navigation can be confusing.
The system lacks HR functionality. There is no automated employee onboarding option. PTO can be tracked but there is no way for employees to request time off from their employee portal.
Payroll processors do not get a dashboard showing a list of payrolls that are scheduled to be processed each day like some other systems do.

The user interface and navigation seems a little outdated - it has got tones of features and capabilities but that is let down by the poor UX
Migration from the legacy HRMS takes a bit of time and effort, not a super smooth transition given that Darwinbox has limited types/methods available for importing the data from other HRMS while migrating
Poor Customer support - Logging in the ticket is easy but getting it done within the SLA is a dream for their team and us as well. The support team is not that responsive and communicative.

Alternatives Considered

Payroll relief is more customizable and easier to use than some other systems we have reviewed. The fee structure is better suited for our client base as well.

The ability to view the organization structure and functional structure for the entire company.
One-stop solution for talent acquisition, payroll, leaves, reimbursements, attendance (time-sheet), holidays, etc. So I don't have to open a lot of different apps.
