If you are managing any Macs, iOS devices, or AppleTVs - the best option for you is Addigy. At a low price and ease of use, it really does make managing computers and other Apple devices super easy. Every client has an instance, where their software is rolled out and installed on company-owned machines. This way everyone has the same set of tools to work from.

If you are managing a small fleet of local computers MaaS360 will work well to suit your needs. However, if you are working with a large fleet with remote users the program begins to not be as efficient for your needs as it could be. From my experience working with over 1000 Macs this solution was not up to the tasks at hand.

- Unlock phones, users always forget their passcodes and with once click you can unlock their devices.
- A repository for devices within your company and keeps you informed with alerts on who has it deployed as well as instant alerts for users that try to remove it from their devices.
- Locking a phone that has been lost to ensure PHI is safely maintained.
- The ease of using the system is a plus, it is easy to learn and highly trainable.

- The website has oh-so-many options that it can be overwhelming when it comes to finding the option or policy you want.
- After log-in they have a "Dashboard" web page that shows you important info about your devices but many of the errors do not have the appropriate links to rectify them.
- Their process to wipe an iPad could be better. Post-wipe it still shows up in the list of devices as waiting for something to happen to it so it can be a bit confusing.

MaaS360's phone support has been decent the few times I have used it. In addition the person who on-boarded us has been available for additional questions after the process was over. However IBM could do a much better job in creating a user-friendly search engine and white-paper database to help people find topics. Right now finding info is more based on searching through white papers themselves.

Apple tends to recommend Jamf for mobile device management. We chose to use IBM MaaS360 since it can be bundled with our cell carrier's contract. This gives us a lower cost product that delivers the features we needed out of this type of service. Additionally, our carrier is able to automatically add devices purchased through them to our IBM MaaS360 account, which saves a little bit of time for us.We have never used Jamf, but looking back it seems like it might have been a better choice. When our contract with IBM MaaS360 comes close to ending, we will more closely evaluate alternatives.

- We definitely have an ROI since I can't tell you the amount of devices we have wiped since we purchased it.
- Make sure you have enough licenses or they will bill you if you go over and that cost is not cheap
