ASP.NET
ASP.NET is one of the main languages that we use across all of our Web Projects. We use Asp.net in may ways in our department. We use [ASP.NET] for developing most of our web projects using [ASP.NET] MVC for most of our custom applications, and we also integrated our project, which develop using [ASP.NET] with numerous systems. What I disliked is the updates on the framework. And the compatibility on different programming tools. Asp.net uses more Web server resources than others and it is expensive for small companies.

Progress Telerik UI is one of the best web design and development solutions for Dot Net based applications. It has extensible support for ASP.NET Core, C#, WCF, and ASP.NET WebForms. It overall improves the design structure for the applications and provides multiple customization options to meet the requirements of clients and end-users.

ASP.NET
- Making web forms obsolete was a mistake; instead, creating modern web forms that use the drag and drop UI is something we have come to expect from ASP.NET.
- It takes a long time for the NET collection to start up when running under IIS for some reason.

- I'd like to see the radwebcam include the ability to read/decode barcodes or QR codes and possibly raise a barcode read event.
- The visual studio add-in takes a while to load, so I constantly get the slow add-in warning from visual studio 2022
- some of the winform controls seem to have poor performance such as carousel.

The UX of their UI is very well thought out, the micro-interactions are intuitive - thus great for your end user as less training is needed.Using the software, there [are] loads to get you going, you can download their whole demo site and see how each demo works. There is more now on github to get you started, also much on an awesome CDN that's well bedded in so your app is speedy and up to date.

Telerik support is very knowledgeable and can adapt to the specific question at hand. Their examples are always well explained and they typically provide customized support solutions for your specific problem. I have never felt like they were responding based on a script. Their communication skills in English are superb.

The controls work very well as long as they are used as intended. Built-in functionality should be used whenever possible,

Alternatives Considered
ASP.NET
I don't like javascript that much, personally. Having a backend built on top of javascript in the case of Node.js leaves me lying awake at night. I prefer strongly typed languages and knowing I have the support of Microsoft behind my choice of systems. Node.js when I experimented was awkward to setup and not as intuitive as ASP.NET.

Progress Telerik UI provides a large amount of language support, demos, and documentation. While the competition is still great in their own right, Progress Telerik UI has provided enough resources to cover a number of current and future projects without having to expand to other libraries.

Return on Investment
ASP.NET
- Allows for rapid application development which saves money and time
- Can get unnecessarily complicated and be difficult to maintain at times, wasting time and money
- It's free, so there is no cost - though you may need to pay for Visual Studio

- Use of the controls throughout your application will allow for consistency for your users
- Accessibility support will help your users to successfully navigate your website.
- Using the controls will, in general, speed up implementation so developers don't need to spend time re-inventing available features such as in-line editing of grid cells.
