Ataccama ONE vs. IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio vs. Mode Analytics

Usage for enterprise wide data management and governance across wide range of user group. Ataccama ONE enables achieving higher data quality amongst the data products. It is a powerful platform that supports integration of several checks on different data sets that can be also consolidated in reports later on. Data discovery works quite fast and easy.

It is well suited for solving large-sized, mixed-integer, and integer programming problems. Now, the new version supports for Multi-Objective optimization along with some new algorithms such as Benders Decomposition. It is less appropriate for quadratic programming problems where the objective function is the product of multiple variables. However, it's very easy to code any problem.

Mode is a clear category winner for how it easy it is to go from interactive analysis to professional quality reporting. You can easily do all your SQL and quite a bit of R/Python. If you want to quickly go from your database to simple charts, this is your pick. If you need to do heavier data modeling, scheduling jobs, or ML, you'll need something else, like Databricks. In my opinion, the quality of visualizations and some developer/analyst features make Databricks an unacceptable substitute.

One of the key factors in our choice to onboard Ataccama was its usability - general end users have everything at their fingertips, it is not difficult for IT developers to setup the tool, and it has been an overall pleasure.

It's nice to use and with good optimization.

For the advanced user already familiar with Python. It is just the same tool, already managed and connected to the data.

Ataccama ONE is a designated tool for Data quality monitoring. Supports end to end. Quite easy to deploy. Alteryx is more about coding or almost as complicated while Ataccama ONE is a bit easier to use. Different interfaces. Many views automatically available for data sets in Ataccama ONE. Output is vizualized in the tool. While more data transformation is required in Alteryx.

IBM CPLEX Optimization Studio covers wide range of problems in comparison to Gurobi and also offers a number of visualization tools for results analysis. It has better customization and parameter tuning options in comparison to Gurobi. It offers various API integrations such as Python, Java and C++ which is not the case with Gurobi.

We used both Qlik and Mode at our organization. The mode was used a quick analysis SQL tool while Qlik was our enterprise BI solution.
