eTouches seems to be well positioned to serve those needing event registration for small groups up to large conventions. Events with multiple sessions are very well organized and allows the planners to monitor registration and attendance with ease. One issue we have run into is the ability to give a discount to a specific registrant who signs up a group of individuals. We continue to work for a solution to this.

If you want something simple, but professional, and allows you to customize what you want, this is a great app. Can't really think of an industry where it's not appropriate...if you just want a last name and first name for visitor log ins, you can keep it that simple. If you need to have more information like company, reason for visit, who they're visiting, badge#, etc., you can set all that up according to your needs

  • The transition to the new platform has taken some time to get everything functional, but they are working on it and update us regularly.
  • Reporting has vastly improved!
  • eSeating uses Flash which doesn't work on iPads... this can be a problem.

I had a few issues while onsite (over the weekend). The support information given to me was incorrect and I had a hard time tracking down how to get assistance while onsite (on a weekend). When you are onsite, issues are usually heightened and need an immediate response, and I didn't get that.

Alternatives Considered

Ffrankly we did not evaluate any other software before getting e-touches and I was not involved in that process, it was before my time. But there are alternatives available. They have improved their interface lately and that is a big positive change. But I recommend evaluating multiple options and selecting what best fits your needs.
