We started using Lobbytrack to modernize our previous paper visitor log. We quickly started viewing this as an opportunity to make a strong branding impression on all visitors to our office. We also discovered, post-implementation, that we would need to use the pre-registration features to reduce the bottleneck that was created when we had a group of visitors arriving at the same time. As an added bonus, we are able to send pertinent information to all our visitors, such as the guest Wi-Fi info.
Pros
  • Tracking visitors on the premises.
  • Preregistration of visitors for an upcoming visit.
  • Granular control of the self check-in / check-out process.
Cons
  • The SSO implementation needs to be improved upon, especially adding SSO functionality to the Employee app.
  • Support documentation is quite lacking.
  • Visitors that aren't preregistered should have the ability to select the duration of their visit during check-in.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think that Lobbytrack would be suited for most organizations that are trying to modernize their visitor management workflow. You would need someone with a technical background to make the most of the Lobbytrack feature-set, but you can get the core functionality of the system up and running fairly quickly. The product might be less desirable for an organization where compliance and security is a critical priority, as features like their SSO integration still needs to mature.

It is a one-stop solution and a very cost-effective and extremely useful platform that will meet all of your needs. This VMS system has made our life very simple by registering each and every visitor and this also helps daily back-end data with the details that we require.
Pros
  • Sign in visitors with Name Phone number their identity.
  • It notifies the host.
  • It can also pre register the visitor and also to immediate registration.
  • Control access and photo identity.
Cons
  • Data segregation weekly or monthly report and customization.
  • Sometime pre visitor details takes time.
  • Highly reliable.
Likelihood to Recommend
Especially where there are many visitors just one has to scan their identity and if the user had already registered it will automatically create a visitor badge No such scenario which I can think of where this was not appropriate.

We're a school. We use Lobby Track for issuing visitor badges and also to issue tardy passes for students who arrive late. Lastly, we have students who leave early check out. The killer feature is the ability to send an email to parents when their student checks in or out (many times as expected but sometimes unexpectedly).
Pros
  • Easy to maintain the database.
  • Works well with touchscreen computer monitor.
  • Associated dymo label printer has been very reliable.
Cons
  • Scheduled reports (instead of run on demand).
  • Published API and/or an automated way of loading data to the database (it's not difficult but could be automated).
  • Updating layout of printed labels is not very intuitive (but we only have to do it rarely).

Kiosk operation is very good. I wish we had an opportunity to provide more guidance/instructions for users new to the kiosk operations (it's easy but not intuitive... once we show the students, they're fine but I would like to get away from having to show them). Moving the license key from one computer to another involves generating a deactivation code. This is a challenge when the computer has crashed and we cannot generate the deactivation code. Doesn't happen very often but we don't budget for the replacement activation code and it's always a hassle.

We wanted something that looked professional, could be branded with our logo, was simple to use, allowed us to enter visitor info ahead of time, and had the ability to export the logs to save for our records.
Pros
  • Looks good.
  • Simple and pretty intuitive.
  • Can manage visitor info.
  • App remembers visitors on subsequent visits.
Cons
  • The logs split the visitor info between 2 spreadsheets which I have to compile into one.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want something simple, but professional, and allows you to customize what you want, this is a great app.

Can't really think of an industry where it's not appropriate...if you just want a last name and first name for visitor log ins, you can keep it that simple. If you need to have more information like company, reason for visit, who they're visiting, badge#, etc., you can set all that up according to your needs.

Lobby Track is very simple, versatile and easy to use. It is very easy to set up and very useful in our case as we have a couple of branches across the city. It not only allows our company to register, badge and track visitors but also it allowed us to centralize our data throughout the network.

At times we are flooded with clients/customers, we just hand out the tablets which are connected with our server running Lobby Track software and Lobby Track does all the magic by keeping all info at one place and all data can be viewed with a click of a button. This by the way helped us with better customer service and generate revenue by contacting our clients via email, SMS and calls, and informing them about our new offer, clearance sales etc. 5 Stars!

Pros
  • Register badges and track visitors
  • Easily integrated with SQL database
  • Centralize data throughout the network
Cons
  • Have been using for 1 month now without any complaints. Lobby Track is a very simple yet reliable tool.
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe Lobby Track is suitable for both SME and industries in many ways. The best thing I like about it is you can get in touch with your clients/customers and connect to them immediately with click of a button.
