Beebole vs. UZIO

Beebole is well suited for complex organizations that have detailed teams, projects, labor categories, etc. However, for smaller organizations, the functionality and complexity can make it a bit cumbersome / not as user friendly.

UZIO is one of the best HRIS systems I have used over my career. What sets them apart, in my opinion, is the ability to quickly fix or add things because they have actual engineers. Other HRIS systems are just duplicates of other systems that require a lengthy process to correct anything and are much more cumbersome. UZIO is use-friendly.

• It allows me to charge different rates for different tasks
• As a non-tech 65 year old I find the software easy top navigate and use with information provided in a format that suits me. I can set up different matters for the same Client. This is very useful given the nature of my work which ranges from simple compliance - preparing and submitting Returns to the tax authorities - to undertaking complex and lengthy planning execises - business sale, Inheritance Tax and succession planning etc.
• Beebole allows me to generate PDF copies of my timesheets that I email to Clients when I issue them a fee note
• I can check Work In Progress quickly and easily on a Client by Client and Matter by Matter basis

• Tech support is consistent and reliable.
• User interface is easy for employees tracking time and managers approving time.
• High degree of confidence in the tech.

• Some lack of administration options for user accesses
• Single Standard cost alternative, for example, it would be nice to have at least two alternative at the same time (with overheads and not!)

• We have a shift that crosses midnight and the system resets OT calculation when it becomes a new day, but in CA OT is calculated on hours worked and doesn’t split a shift at midnight for OT purposes. So far they have been unable to address this as it's not an issue in other states.
• Holiday Pay has been an issue because of our policy - too many changing variables to create a process. Unfortunately, you cannot adjust holiday pay on the employee's timesheet. That would be the simplest solution but so far that hasn't happened.
• Non-US Citizen beneficiary. This is not an option when electing benefits. Not a big deal unless you have employees with families abroad. We had one and we created a work around.
• Everything has to be downloaded. You cannot click on an employee's pay stub (for example) and view it within UZIO. It must be downloaded to your computer. Not a big deal - just takes more time and more files to delete on your computer.

User friendly, when you know how!

To have payroll, HR functions, and scheduling all in one place has truly been a game changer. Even with us only having started using UZIO since February, it’s been so easy to pick up and go for management and our employees. I truly couldn’t recommend UZIO enough. 10 out of 10

Response is always quick and intelligent!

More detailed / layered options for complex organizations and teams, but Beebole's user interface is not as modern and much more cumbersome / higher learning curve

UZIO has a much smoother/easier workflow for benefits setup and management. The system is extremely user friendly and the platform is clean and easy to read. UZIO listens to client feedback and uses that information to improve the system and make it work better for users.

• Beebole tracking keeps track of hours that may get missed and not billed
• Beebole is a great way to have a clear accounting to include with client billing - it never has been questioned by a client
• The comprehensive features that still are easy to use mean that is gets consistently used.

• UZIO has had a positive impact on the time it takes to onboard/offboard or complete payroll.
• UZIO is much more affordable that some of the other HRIS systems.
• The only negative is that they do not have a performance mgmt system.
