I think the overall experience and customer service was better on the BlueConic side of things which is what swayed us in their direction. The GAM connection was also another huge plus for us. We ultimately chose BlueConic as our final CDP and we are very happy with that …
Chose BlueConic
BlueConic is more lightweight and allows for more unique experiences at the same time. Again - this isn't meant to perfect the core UX of your site, but sit on top to deliver unique experiences to control offer management and close rates.
Chose BlueConic
BlueConic is definitely a leader in the CDP and marketing data space. After looking at several similar tools they stood apart due to the tools intuitiveness and power, along with their great customer support.
Chose BlueConic
BC is by far and large the most affordable, but definitely requires more 'in-house' data knowledge. Its capabilities are far less, but the others focus more on a data-overall approach, whereby blueconic is 1st party-focused. I found that all the bells and whistles of the …

Chose Salesforce Data 360
we have evaluated snowflake, adobe rt-cdp as well. They also offer a very strong capabilities but the Data 360 is more suitable for us because of the same Salesforce ecosystem. The main key factor is without any custom code we were able to include it into our automations. And …

Chose Salesforce Data 360
Really, Data Cloud is impulsing or is helping us use agents because of the data that we have collected there and the functionality that we have.
Chose Salesforce Data 360
They are quite similar but it was a decision made amongst other stakeholders as well so I can’t justify the reason from my own department but as I understand salesforce allows better integration and since our CRM is already on salesforce it makes sense for us to unify at all.
Chose Salesforce Data 360
I like Salesforce Data Cloud because like mentioned before, it is easy to use, easy to generate reports, create workflows, keep track of customer data, sales data, house data, etc. You can also import excel sheets with customer data as well and it will create the fields for you …

BlueConic works well as a central customer database and for building detailed customer profiles. If you want to learn how customers are engaging with your brand and then act on that data, BlueConic is the perfect choice.

Great tool for client management, sales tracking, cases studies. Using is as the source of truth for all client communication. Allowing more integration options for cc and ACH payments. Right now the options are limited and only integrate with strict processing capabilities that are not always in the businesses best interest.

Cons
  • The software was a bit glitchy at times and the beta products were launched a little too prematurely. I didn't feel like it was tested thoroughly and caused headaches at times.
  • Qualifying the product was and is still probably hard for them. They could easily be confused as testing software (which it works well for) but their go-to-market is personalization... which I don't believe is their strength. It's more like a "real-time Ecomm optimization".
  • Their connections with other providers was left a little more desirable. Would love to have seen them have more connections into CRM that the 4-5 they offered.

  • pricing or costing visibilty, we can't estimate what would be consumption this month and suddenly we get surprised
  • CI/CD can be improved, that looks a difficult and hard
  • Also sandbox comes with many limitation so very hard to replicate production like environment to test

Usability
I think without a bit of training and knowledge it would be hard to walk right into a role or a task inside of BlueConic - it is kind of hard to comprehend everything that is available and all of the options. The language inside of BlueConic is also very different than other things in the industry, so it was hard to understand what it would line up with.

I gave rating 8 because it offers powerful data unification, strong insight , improved customer interaction and reliable performance. This rating also includes overall data visibility and usability across teams. The reason of not giving 10 is its complexity sometimes and costing. This can be less efficient and more complicated for sometimes.

Their support and sales team are very friendly and attentive. They're always ready to answer our questions, and what I like the most is that humans always respond our question, not AI like most of the other tools assistance.

Return on Investment
  • Too early to tell. Will report back in a month. If all goes to plan though, massive. We hope subs make up the vast majority of revenues by 2020, which will be powered by BC.

  • Salesforce Data Cloud has a positive impact on me as a realtor because it is easy to generate reports on customer data and see what is needed to be bumped to the next level. We have to earn a certain commission by the end of the year and it makes it easy to see how close you are
  • It has a positive impact on keeping track of customers because it is nice to have it all in one place which is a nice time saver
  • I like that you can even see customer info from other agents making it nice to compare and try and pass others
  • Makes the customers journey smooth sailing because everything is in one place
