Cvent Passkey
Chose Cvent Passkey
Have not used anything else.
Chose Cvent Passkey
Passkey is more focused on event setups than other software.
Chose Cvent Passkey
I don't know any alternative software, but it definitely is a huge improvement in getting reports from individual hotels, and all data is presented in the same format.
Chose Cvent Passkey
We haven't used any other tool like Passkey and I do not think it even exists, maybe it does but never looked for one.
Chose Cvent Passkey
Cvent was highly effective!

I did not make the purchasing decision to incorporate Passkey into our business standards. I know that while demanding upon set up, it saves a significant amount of time when the main planning portion of the event is in swing. I personally have not used any other products like …
Chose Cvent Passkey
n/a. I have not used other products (with the exception of Helmsbriscoe managing the room block for us). We went with CVent Passkey because it brought it in-house.
Chose Cvent Passkey
There isn’t much substantial competition. Passkey IS the industry tool leader. Anything else isn’t worth the time/effort.
Chose Cvent Passkey
We haven't used any other options. We used to manage everything manually, which sucked up hundreds of hours of our employee's time and cause frustrations among some of our high profile clients who wanted to make their bookings or manage their trip on their own off-hours time …
Chose Cvent Passkey
It is the best product out there.

If a property is managing a block of 15 or more rooms, Cvent Passkey is extremely helpful as it helps streamline room types, attendee types, and premium up-sell options. If you are working on a smaller group that has specific requirements that restrict their room options, basic booking software will suffice.

Cons
No answers on this topic
  • The support center for administrators (GroupMax) and the dashboard could be better. Good for beginnings, but there is a lack of detail for more advanced users.
  • The process of building a booking site could be easier/more streamlined. We sometimes have to hunt around to find where to edit information.

My best advice is to have one or two people own the Cvent Passkey maintenance. If a person is using the software frequently, you will find tips and usability becomes quite easy. A novice may find some difficulty understanding how inventory distribution works but all of the training courses offered are very useful to help hone in on the craft

Cvent has superb customer service in general. They are always reachable and friendly and are willing to spend as much time in chat or on the phone with you as necessary to get your problems solved. The user-experience within Cvent compared to other registration providers is so much better! In the little time I've had in my field, this is clear to see.

I did not make the purchasing decision to incorporate Passkey into our business standards. I know that while demanding upon set up, it saves a significant amount of time when the main planning portion of the event is in swing. I personally have not used any other products like Cvent Passkey. With the new flex website design, it will not make sense to continue to use passkey when we can incorporate hotel selection into the registration process directly during registration.

  • Positive - it gives immediate satisfaction to the client, they don't have to wait for me to be able to send them their rooming list.
