Chose CodeTwo Backup
Already knowing another CodeTwo product (CodeTwo Email Signatures 365) and also being familiar with their support it was really easy to try this solution.Alone the documentation is very impressive and really easy to understand. We tried Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and l …
Chose CodeTwo Backup
CodeTwo is kind of an entry-level product, and that's all we needed. The other available solutions were really overkill; they have features we didn't need and the price tag to support those features.
Chose CodeTwo Backup
Although Veeam's offerings are somewhat similar in trying to add additional layers of protection, on the Microsoft's default offerings, the CodeTwo product was more situated to do what we wanted which was brick level back up and restores of single files and emails. Veeams …
Chose CodeTwo Backup
Code two works well and is pretty easy to use. As long as you have the storage space for the backups it works great. If you lose that local storage however then you've lost those backups. Allowing for me to offload those backups to cloud storage (Azure, AWS) would make this …
Spanning Backup
Chose Spanning Backup
Spanning Backup for G Suite backs up Google Drive files and Unitrends is used for more VM infrastructure.
Chose Spanning Backup
Very similar in features and setup. Spanning Backup for Salesforce was more affordable. After getting set up during the trial we were able to get that trial extended as we negotiated cost and contract and continued to use the same trail as production paid version as they …
Chose Spanning Backup
Spanning is superior to Veritas Backup Exec. Often Backup Exec would fail due to the software itself or the premise-based backup media or drive. Veritas Tech Support/Knowledgebase was not helpful in troubleshooting the failures. Also, Veritas was unable to back up our then …
Chose Spanning Backup
I've not looked at any other products as this met all my needs and was recommend to me.

Because we have an exchange hybrid environment finding the right product which suited our needs was not easy. But with a product like CodeTwo Backup we are able to back up only specific mail accounts / mails which are mapped to our archive systems. That was not possible with other products we tried. The possibility to be able to choose which account to backup or restore and the option to be able to backup up specific Data on Sharepoint / OneDrive is awesome. Not forgetting how pretty easy the licensing procedure is when purchasing the product.

The only issue we have is when we remove the user from the integrated AD group we need to manually go back and remove the licensing, but there is the option to have archived accounts as well for temporary holds in case we want to disable the account in 365/AD, but need to hold on to the backups for a little longer.

  • Thus far, Spanning has completely fulfilled all of our backup needs, and we are completely satisfied.
  • While we haven't needed technical support yet, we were told that this is conducted via email rather than via phone.

It was hands down, one of the easiest solutions to implement overall and has some of the best features also compared to other similar products from many SaaS backup companies. We also integrated the Dark Web monitoring too and it has helped us secure accounts we didn't know had issues, so has improved our security posture too.

I would like a retention option on the data, but since this feature does not currently exist, I give it a 9. Everything has met our standards and needs and we are now freed up from the manual efforts it was taking for backing up Salesforce using the out-of-the-box features of Salesforce.
