Digify in San Francisco provides an electronic document security service with virtual data room featuring digital rights management, access controls (and revokation), passkey encryption, and other methods of ensuring a safe and secure file sharing and collaboration process between companies and their outside partners.
While the other players might offer certain additional features over the Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room, the cost justification does not exist for any of those features. A secure data room at the cost of offering that is provided and the level of security functions make …
I always prefer Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room because of the user interface and ease of use. It provides the most seamless experience out of all of them and removes any concerns that the data room will cause us any challenges in the process.
There are many comparable features across these products, and I've also seen Intralinks, SnartRoom and Venue improve at the same pace as Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room does. However, I still feel that the basic navigation and combing through index list, Q&A etc., is a lot …
it is difficult to compare since the quality of a data room depends heavily on the uploader and how organize she/he is. Since it is the first time I am using DealRoom it is hard to come up with a comparison.
DealRoom has a much better interface and a much faster download features. While most VDRs have the same features, the little improvements in UX and navigation go a long way to ensure that the users are happy and their time is saved. I didn't really select DealRoom. It was the …
DealRoom provides a superior product. We select DealRoom for most of our engagements mostly due to the advanced Due Diligence capabilities that it provides. However, the ease of use, speed, and simplicity of the product are also factors that inspire us to choose DealRoom as our …
Datasite is well suited for organizing large quantities of a variety of documents into folders. It is not as well suited for Xcel, which generally requires downloading in order to review, but there are quick preview options for Word and PDF items.
Well suited for projects where a large number of files need to be securely exchanged with clients. Not very suitable if the engagement does not involve heavy data exchange. We have used it in multiple M&A and due diligence projects and it works like a charm. I strongly recommend DealRoom
It is well suited for securing and protecting confidential data. It is great to work with your emails (Gmail) as you can allow access to concerned people, bar downloading, put an expiry date, or add the watermarks. The most amazing feature is that it's very customizable.
User-friendly interface. We download datarooms for a single deal over 30+ times per deal (as the dataroom gets updated), so the interface being easy to access / navigate is extremely important.
Features: Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room gives great tools beyond just downloading a dataroom. Easy notifications when something gets downloaded, two factor authentication, ability to search data room or filter for recently uploaded files, etc.
Organization: A lot of data rooms do not allow you to keep organized file paths. When you download a dataroom it often looses all the index folder names. Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room keeps files extremely organized and is always available.
Fixed cost pricing is unique and refreshing. Saves headache and worry throughout the process and with the client.
Internal Diligence Tracking through the requests feature is a game-changer. Prevents inefficient excel trackers and unnecessary emails throughout the process.
GUI and interface are clean and easy to use.
Customer support and response to inquires is timely and helpful.
Major feature I noticed in other datarooms that's missing in Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room is bulk download feature. I can select multiple files/folders under a parent folder, however, I would like to be able to download selected files/folders from among multiple folders.
Another feature I'd love to see is a "New*" menu item in Q&A, just like we have in the Documents section correctly. I know I can still use the date to filter the latest answered questions, but having the "New" option makes it a lot easier to do a quick filter. My idea is that this option will show all activity that I haven't looked at since my last login, irrespective of date.
DealRoom doesn't currently have an option for automatic weekly user analytics. I hope to see this feature implemented soon.
The software is easy to use, as mentioned before, however, utilizing the setting buttons for folder structures can be difficult to understand at first.
I don't have a lot to complain but it is a bit overpriced, in my opinion.
Sometimes it messes with the firewall and some of the clients are not able to open the Digify links.
Initially, a few of our team members found it difficult but eventually they got the hang of it. It is not particularly a drawback but maybe there is a learning curve for some people. I'm extremely happy though.
It is my go to data room provider and I am super comfortable using it. I don't think I would want to use anything else since I can't trust them like I can trust Datasite
It's easy to manoeuvre across. And you can just use the search bar at the top to find specific files, so you don't have to search through all the folders. Relevant in a big deal with lots of workstreams, such as CDD, FDD, ODD, RDD.
While the other players might offer certain additional features over the Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room, the cost justification does not exist for any of those features. A secure data room at the cost of offering that is provided and the level of security functions make it at par with the other competitors and hence a go to choice for any organisation's requirements
DealRoom provides a superior product. We select DealRoom for most of our engagements mostly due to the advanced Due Diligence capabilities that it provides. However, the ease of use, speed, and simplicity of the product are also factors that inspire us to choose DealRoom as our "go-to" provider.
Digify is an easy-to-use platform with a simplified user interface to safeguard, regulate, and track the specific location of business process documents once they have been received. Android and iOS devices as well as Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems are supported by this tool.
It helped us manage documents and share info between our firm and the potential investors and clients. And also helped to manage internal processes and keep an eye on everything in the company.
It has helped us secure our confidential data and that's something very important. Hence, it would be fair to say that Digify has played a positive role in the overall growth of the business.
