iMIS EMS is an Engagement Management System (EMS) – fusing database management and web publishing into a single system – to drive operational efficiencies, revenue growth, and continuous performance improvement. Harnessing the power of Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform, iMIS EMS is purpose-built to meet the most important challenge facing associations and non-profits – Engagement.
Daxko is great for managing our members. As members enter the organization they are promoted to sign in and the staff are taken to their Daxko page which gives us all of their contact information. This is a helpful feature and I have no complaints. In terms of signing people up for programs through the same system, it can be complicated because there are a lot of extra steps to take in the sign up process

The product was purchased four years before implementation. After having been stalled for more than a year, we were tapped to get the software setup and implemented on a tight six-month deadline. And because we hadn't been involved in the selection process and primary setup, we basically had to start from scratch. I can't say what questions were asked, since I wasn't a part of the selection process, but if you are - and beyond anything else - know upfront what your overall business objective goals and end results are before selecting a product. If the product doesn't meet your needs - with or without modification - keep moving. Research, research, research.
iMIS Engagement Management System is well suited for associations or other non-profits that operate without a lot of bells and whistles. So far in my experience if you want to do more sophisticated operations, marketing in my specific role, then iMIS Engagement Management System may not be the best AMS. It does the basics well but the more high-powered you want to get then the more it's going to cost by having your vendor of choice to work to enhance or upgrade what you have.

Operations provides us with accurate membership billing
We love the access given to us for detailed reporting for memberships and programs
Ease of use and accuracy for our fundraising records and entries
Customer Service with Daxko is top notch! I actually love calling with any issue that I may have, because they seem truly happy to help. Makes it worth while!
Since it is a web based service, I can access it at anytime to correct any issues that may occur.

One-stop-shop. I love that we have one system that will track our income, manage membership, email contacts, manage our website and pull reports.
Response time on support tickets. Whenever I have a problem using iMIS, I can either log into their support site to submit a help ticket or send it directly from my email account. Someone normally responds to me within the hour and then I will get a solution within the day no matter the time of day I submit the ticket.
Easy to use widgets. I love using widgets to pull a page together. They have slideshow widgets that use on a daily basis. There are also forum widgets and widgets to pull an already created query to a page you choose to display this information on.

I have given suggestions to Daxko and they are very receptive to my comments & agree with me. On Engage you can "task" to individual people but, can only "task" a department on an initiative - I'd like the option to task my entire department so whoever has contact with that member first can implement the task. (Side note: the majority of my staff is part-time and do not work consecutive days - this is part an in-house operations issue which is why I made the suggestion for small non-profits such as ourselves)

The new customer service portal seems to be missing a lot of the product documentation/training manuals. In order to access them, I had to submit a ticket and receive a file via FTP.
The process by which to get a quote or proposal has been sometimes challenging and lengthy. It's certainly been a point of frustration from time to time.
The GoMembers (Association Management System) product has changed the way we do business, but some of the functionality seems to be incomplete or missing. Basic functionality of certain processes within the system are cumbersome or just don't make much sense to our technical team, or the end user.
System Performance: iMIS has always seemed to have had performance issues....sluggish specifically. Though some of that may be in part to some of our customizations, but we don’t think so.
Integrations with 3rd Party Products: we would like to see more integrations with 3rd party apps.

As with any company, we are always looking and interested in technology that can make our operations run smooth. I don't believe we'll be changing providers anytime soon, however if our needs grow and Aptean/GoMembers isn't capable of that functionality we will be required to look elsewhere
Some of the GoMembers CRM is intuitive, some is counter-intuitive. What might seem like common sense to me might not to another user. Having been through the setup of the product, it's easier for me to anticipate the steps needed to complete a task. For the average user, possibly not.
Support from our project manager and trainers was bar-none. They were there both before and after Go-Live, answering questions and anticipating any snags along the way.
Overall we selected Daxko Operations because it’s used and recommended by YMCAs across the nation. When comparing similar systems we concluded that the features and the price of Daxko were comparable to any of the other systems that promised the same features. Overall we are pleased with our decision.

I think both are great tools. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I really like the CMS component that comes with iMIS. It is important for an organization to be able to quickly build websites to engage their members. iMIS provides tools to do this out of the box.

Online registration for programs has encouraged more people to participate in our programs. They can register in the comfort of their own homes.
We are going 24/7 this month, and with Daxko's Mobile Pass that connects with Operations, we feel that not only will we be able to increase our membership base, but provide a safe and secure environment for our members to access any time of the day!
Everything that Daxko Operations provides to us as customers contributes significantly to our success as a YMCA.

Upgrading to the GoMembers system has led us to initiate and complete a company wide overhaul. We have streamlined many administrative functions, reduced time spent manually tracking certain information. Although we are less than one year of being live with the system, countless hours of staff time has been saved due to system driven changes and improvements.
iMIS had a neutral impact on my non-profit organization's overall business objectives. Both the finance and department teams just worked around the limitations that iMIS had.
