Deacom ERP vs. SAP Digital Manufacturing

Good for the price and basic functionality but sometimes calculations inside the application are not handled smoothly. For us, we have no problems for our Lb customers but our Gallon/Kg customers usually have issues have unit conversion issues.

SAP Digital Manufacturing is well suited to integrate SAP S/4 with the shop floor systems for shop floor control. It shines on automatic data collection, automated down time collection, embedded SAP Analytics Cloud, Inventory integration, Interactive Production Operator Dashboards, Process Monitoring, Production Process Designs etc.

• The lot tracking capability
• Being able to have the Accounting software to look up the GL information

• Edge component - this needs to be improved to provide a seamless connection.
• The inbuilt functionalities like in ME instead of building separate production process.
• The EDHR reports needs to be similar in SAP ME.
• Configurable OEE reports and history reports delivered out of the box.
• Integrated with non - SAP ERP.

With proper training it is very easy to use as long as you don't try to customize it to fit your old processes

SAP Digital Manufacturing is a very well thought and engineered solution that does really well in trying to map most manufacturing use cases and makes it possible to manufacturers to avoid expensive and complex custom solutions and instead implementing fit to standard solutions that needs less maintenance and are less subjected to issues

Deacom ERP is much faster to respond to bulk sales order processing, large numbers of EDI transactions and query response time. Deacom ERP support is vastly better, and the team is very helpful.

The SAP Digital Manufacturing cost of operation is much lower, compare to other competitors like that of salesforce and to top it off since has been in the business of digital manufacturing for quite some time, it is more trustworthy.

• Provide a central resource for viewing and manage all orders, jobs and running reports.
• Slow down system performance by big report users.

• As it is cloud based product, quarterly upgrades impacts the production and needs effort and resources for testing
• Product is not fully matured. It still has bugs
