eFax Corporate vs. Evolve IP Unified Communications

For the daily faxing needs, eFax gets the job done. We get notified when the fax has been received or sent successfully, but it takes so long at times. I'm not sure if it's eFax's encryption system that is delaying the Rx/Tx time, but it needs to be improved immediately.

I would leave it at the "?" rating because what can you rate them? 1 is too high. The only way they'd be "ok" is if: 1. Your company isn't growing and your users never leave the company. 2. You don't have to call support or make edits to the admin portal. 3. Don't need reporting. 4. Only use a physical phone to make/receive calls. 5. Do not plan to use a softphone or call center system. 6. Enjoy systems or people that frustrate you.

• The fax always goes through, there are no issues with reliability.
• It offers a variety of features such as taking photos and saving files.
• It can receive faxes too.
• It can save faxes for a long time and allows you to save contacts.

• One pane of glass to manage multiple sites
• Zero upfront cost of ownership
• Flexibility in configuration

• The user interface could use some work, as it's a little dated looking, and it's not so simple to receive faxes, at times.
• Administrator functions. If the user's account is locked for any reason, the administrator cannot unlock their account. It causes a lot of inconveniences.
• Unable to see the bill. For whatever reason, eFax does not allow viewing the bill from the online portal.

• I'd like to see them build out API functionality for reporting off of call data within the organization. They have a Call Center product that seems to include a fairly robust reporting module, but it would be nice to be able to do some more of this within the standard Phone System product as well.

For our logistics side of the business, we use eFax to receive orders. We are using it to transmit a variety of documents as well. It comes in handy if you really need to accept faxes.

eFax support is great. They are quick to assist you with any issue regarding eFax. I haven't had to wait long on support services or answers. During an outage seems to be when the queue times get long but on a normal day, they are quick to answer and fast on a solution.

Support? If I could do everything myself with the time I don't have, I would do it better than their support. I don't like saying it that way, but it is the truth. We hired someone from another company that also used Evolve IP and when they found out that is what we used here, he expressed all of the same complaints and stories that we had.

eFax is for serious business professionals and it comes with so many tools, including a free App and a desktop app, which makes it extremely easy for you and your employees to send and receive faxes. You can take a photo of a document and fax it over to someone in another state in a few minutes!

• We were able to reduce costs by using eFax and make our faxing company-wide simpler!

• We have reduce operational expenses by an average of 30 percent by switching to EIP.
• Higher level of employee engagement with customers (given phone features).
• Only negativity would be if you have a single point of failure for internet service it proves to be a challenge.
