Cove offers one flat rate per server or workstation and one flat per-user price for Microsoft 365, with cloud storage included. Each license carries a defined amount of included storage that is pooled across an MSPs customers, so smaller devices that use less can offset larger ones.

If data storage, access, and security [are] of the highest priority to your business then Pure Storage FlashBlade is an excellent tool that must be considered. Analytics or sharing that requires the fastest speeds available will benefit from the NVMe solid-state drives they use which are far superior to spinning rust. It is less ideal for those who do not require such time-critical work.
Solarwinds Backup is ideal for individuals looking to keep a consistent backup of devices in their environment. We used it primarily for networking equipment. It is easy to set up, as it is one of the steps available when adding a new device to solarwinds. It is probably not an ideal product to use for long-term (1 month+) backups.
Backup Reporting: Email alerts, and a great, easy to read Dashboard with detailed error logs and an easy to search Solarwinds FAQ for a lot of them.
Restores: So far I have restored files, full VMs, and VMs to other hardware, and so far it has not only been flawless, but so flexible that I can't imagine going back to any other software.
When reporting out a user has exceeded there quote, it only references the UID. It would certainly be nice it calls out the UID name that is clearly present in the Dashboard.
The ability to determine a snapshot total size would be helpful.
Proactive reachout to discuss new versions and assist in planning the upgrade would be a key win.
Cove Data Protection is very usable as it's easy to tell that it is made to not only do backup very well, but it's also easy to deploy. The agent-based deployment allows for flexible deployment options while ensuring a minimal amount of manual work is needed on the dashboard end. Recovery is also very easy, especially as it relates to one-off file recovery
Without exception, the contacts with support have been quick and extremely knowledgeable. I do not fear getting an underqualified engineer to assess or work on my arrays. In addition to this support structure, the sales engineers are top notch as well.
The NetApp a800 we tested was 14% faster than Pure FlashBlade with NFS workloads. However, NetApp lacked ease of administration and performing simple tasks such as creating multiple NFS volumes required scripting from the command line. Our flashblade contained 15 baldes and our NetApp was a clustered pair with each half containing 24 nvme devices.
Cove is able to cover all aspects of backup in a single package. From the same dashboard I can check servers, workstations, and even Office 365. Cove is a much better solution in terms of overall management for a company such as ours. It also provides integration options with N-Able's RMM and Take Control solutions. This allows us to offer our customers with a full service suite in a single package.
We were able to consolidate 5 different storage platforms of lesser performance onto a single Flashblade and achieve much, much lower latency and higher throughput.
We've been able to reduce the amount of training and configuration required to just Pure Flashblade, instead of 5 different vendors and products.
In addition to our core use cases, Flashblade has capabilities that we are pursuing for some new projects, i.e. analytics data store and the object store features.
There has been NO negative impact to out ROI, but it definitely helps our bottom line. Affordable pricing and solid support make Solarwinds Backup almost a no brainer. That interprets to a growing ROI.
The best thing to happen to our ROI is the growth brought in by very happy clients.
