Fusion Web Clinic vs. Veradigm EHR

Fusion Web Clinic has been such an upgrade from what we were on. Onboarding was easy and Fusion Web Clinic is a great platform for anyone in therapy to transfer over to. It's easy to learn and operate. The pricing is competitive and actually saved us money. We were previously on another very popular PT EMR, but the additional charges to add in billing and payment management was too much.

Some of the key questions include functionality of the EHR in today's electronic marketplace. Also customer support ratings are important due to many ongoing difficulties previously experienced with older EHRs. Allscripts is well suited to the outpatient setting where many preformed templates provide a comprehensive overview of patients. Additionally, Allscripts' link with the imaging portal PACS is second to none.

• Reports - previous EMR's have had limited reporting, Fusion Web Clinic offers the ability to customize or create reports for almost anything you could need
• Scheduling - the ability to search for openings, color coding, and all around schedule customization
• Billing - electronic claims billing is a breeze, entering new payers and being able to bill takes no time at all

• Intuitive with documenting office visits
• Easy to navigate around the screens when researching patient information
• Able to customize lots of things throughout the program to work with requested workflows

• Allow a progress note to be written without a plan of care attached to it
• Improvements on internal messaging - pop up notification, allow organization options such as folders or tagging, allow attachments

• Allscripts could use improvement with stability. Once in awhile, the software would freeze upon loading images saved from radiology or lab reports. It frequently had trouble with login credentials.
• Improve the clarity of scanned images in patient's EHR.
• Conversability with other platforms, like Cerner, Epic, and McKesson.
• Improve the way InterQual loads review platform as well as emailing hospital case manager feature.

Fusion Web Clinic reporting features are much more robust and customizable Remittance posting is easier and quicker

It was already in use when I was hired. I have mostly figured it out just messing around with it in my earlier spare time.

• Tracking patient scheduling has improved our productivity imensely
• Insurance rejections are practically zero as Fusion Web Clinic scrubs claims before you send them
• Our denials are easy to turn around as Fusion Web Clinic has the notes right in the claim, it takes 2 minutes to correct the claim and send it right back out to insurance
