GQueues vs. RedTeam Flex

GQueues ties in very nicely with the principles outlined in David Allen's "Getting Things Done" so if you're a fan, give GQueues a try. I use GQueues both personally and professionally to help keep things in order. I find it easy to modify how I use this service when my needs change. I also use GQueues to keep track of future ideas, websites and books to be read someday and overall goals. It is very customizable to what you need.

RedTeam does a good job of allowing the company to view information in a way that is helpful to them. The superintendents out in the field don't necessarily need to see all of the same information that the people in the office do, so field share has been great for helping them manage their projects and submit daily reports of job progress. I can see this program working for both small and large companies and with a few tweaks, I might rate it even higher.

• Needs more display options, e.g. display tasks in "card" format
• Screen format is a bit dated.
• Awkward to use when window is maximized.

• Inability to delete certain information such as old duplicate vendors, contacts, etc.
• I run into a lot of road blocks with obscure permissions
• Some reports have issues when printing

We have tried some other task management tools such as Producteev. This one is very intuitive and just does what you need it to do and does it well.

Procore is [a] product that we [are] familiar with as well because a few other companies that we have partnered with use Procore. The program is a good CPM, but RedTeam stands out to our company for the customer service. Over the years we have been able to communicate opportunities to make something more efficient and they have implemented some of those suggestions. That is invaluable to us.

• It has eliminated the need for hundreds of spreadsheets for each job and has saved time overall
• It allows all facets of the company to see information as they need to see it
• It's a central place for everyone to store and access information rather than having files all over individual computers.
