greytHR vs. Inova Payroll

greytHR can be recommended when starting off exploring HRMS tools. However, the robustness of the tool needs improvement so that it can fit everyone's use case as well as inclusion of newer features that many competitors offer already. If you have a very big team, then this tool may not be the perfect fit as bugs will be easily visible

Unless I'm in an unusual situation with an employee, it only takes a few minutes to complete payroll with Inova.Some features are not yet fully customizable and, as a result, force us to reverse engineer processes in a roundabout way that does not necessarily meet our business needs.

• Leave Management - Anyone can track and get leave approvals easily
• Daily Attendance Management - Check in-time, out-time, late time etc.
• Employee Information Management - Salary details, appraisal details etc. can be tracked on the portal.

• Calculate tax deductions and distribute paychecks for auditing and tax reporting purposes.
• Applicant Tracking feature that allows you to create and post vacancies on the job page of the website and on various job portals.

• I would like the ATS component that monitors candidate hiring to be able to trigger more hiring activities like connecting with our background check provider and scheduling a prospect appointment.
• The benefit statement could be more advanced.

Our company implemented the use of Gusto, and although the payroll service is excellent, the main reason we switched to Inova Payroll was the poor customer service that this program offered us in order to solve the "MANY" problems that were shown on the site.

• Simply helped us manage payroll for our employees effectively
• Tax declaration was made easy in India as they also offered calculations based on the new & old tax regimes.
• Reduced manual effort in leave tracking for our team where it was done ineffectively prior to having greytHR
