Gumlet vs. Streamable

I think Gumlet is suitable for any content creator that makes videos for clients as well as for small businesses that want to host videos on their website to promote their products/services. If you want to make quick videos sharing your screen you have to do this using a different tool then export your footage and manually upload to Gumlet so it's not ideal for that

As a video agency founder, I've used several different video hosting platforms for both my clients and my own videos. Oftentimes, businesses just want a simple way to embed videos on their website. While they can use YouTube for free, they are stuck with a cluttered interface and related videos (sometimes even their competitors!) popping up on their videos. Other options like Vimeo or Wisitia are great, but for most businesses, they have too many features, and because of that, you are paying way more than what you actually need.
Streamable is extremely simple and fast. It checks all the boxes for what a business needs in a video hosting solution - privacy control, a simple clean embed, and the ability to replace videos without breaking links. And it's super affordable. Highly recommend Streamable!

1 is because I have purchased the lifetime offer from Appsumo, therefore does not need to renew any subscription from Gumlet, however the monthly subscription of the custom domain is makes us quite limited in terms of using 1 account to host few domains.

Everything is in the same place, and the UI was very well thought out. Even if you're no tech savvy, it's just as a simple plug-n-play system that any beginner can put up to work quite easily and fast. You just go through the main settings once, and then everything works the same, seamlessly.

This is probably the biggest factor for Gumlet. Their support team is fantastic and always professional. Most support inquiries through their chat get answered in minutes.

It was quick and easy. We found that the import from Vimeo wasn't pulling in the highest original quality so we manually uploaded our clips.

Some of our clients use Vimeo Livestream and find it overly complicated. Gumlet hasn't released it yet, but considering how easy it is to use their other services, I trust it will be just as easy to live stream - with the bonus of the content protection. Vimeo is overpriced for what they offer, and charge for DRM as an additional add-on on top of their industry-grade CDN. Wistia doesn't have download protection. Way too easy to download and resell content.

Streamable is significantly cheaper than Vimeo and Wistia. Although Vimeo and Wistia have more features (like video marketing tools), for video hosting Streamable is the best bang for your buck. For the majority of small businesses Streamable is going to be the best solution for you
