Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Wistia to track the number of times that our videos are viewed, and to what degree people watch our videos. We can see the percentages in terms of what amount of our videos have been viewed, where they were rewatched, when they were watched, but we can not see who specifically, in terms of first and last name, watched our videos. Still we can get a good idea of which videos are in demand more vs less.

We use Wistia as a central location to store all video and recordings. We store live webinars, video testimonials, marketing and vidoes and more on the platform. The platform integrates well with our content management system for posting video content to our website, as well as including video in various marketing materials.

We use Wistia to host all of our video content. Whether it's our product overview videos, webinar recordings, tutorial videos for our support site or tips and tricks for educators, Wistia gives us the ability to easily add, adjust and track analytics for videos to see how they are performing. Plus, Wistia integrates into our CRM system (HubSpot) to allow us to build follow up emails and outreach plans around user activity like watch times on specific videos, clicks and engagements. With other added features like chapters and transcripts, we can really use the power of Wistia to make our videos as accessible as possible to anyone who is viewing it.

Pros

Wistia provides easy to understand analytics to see how videos are performing and where people are most engaged throughout
Wistia allows us to make videos more accessible for viewers with captions, chapters and color branding to meet web standards codes
Wistia now has the ability for us to host our webinars and livestreams all in a single platform

Cons

Wistia still has some work to do on exporting data based on video groupings and time frames but they are improving that over time

From calls-to-action, chapterizing, video SEO, and branding the video controls, we could not imagine a more powerful tool to support our brand and offerings. We teach video production and marketing basics and take the time to teach the difference between WISTIA vs. YOUTUBE vs VIMEO. We are obviously HUGE fans of WISTIA and longtime users. We are super fans of their engaging team. They are a fun and highly creative bunch.

I needed a place to host evergreen video content for my clients in a way that was easy to manage, looked professional on my website, and could provide some level of viewing statistics and analysis. Their features for marketing, advertising, and creating lead magnet videos are great as well. I love the feature where people can watch the first portion of content before being prompted to enter their email address in order to see the rest of the video.
