Track video viewership with Wistia
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Wistia to track the number of times that our videos are viewed, and to what degree people watch our videos. We can see the percentages in terms of what amount of our videos have been viewed, where they were rewatched, when they were watched, but we can not see who specifically, in terms of first and last name, watched our videos. Still we can get a good idea of which videos are in demand more vs less.
Pros
- Track video viewership
- Customize presentation in terms of thumbnails and on-screen messages
- On-screen element interaction statistics
- Clean dashboard
Cons
- There is a limit on the number of videos you can upload
- It would be great to see the first name and last name of the people who watch our videos
- 10 specific examples of how to use the rewatch and skipped over data would be greatly appreciated
Return on Investment
- You can see what people are interested in based on what parts of the video they re-watch, or not interested in based on what they skip over
- You learn that most people don’t watch more than 9.8% of a 31-minute video, so you adjust your communication strategy accordingly
- You can decide what topics to cover in your future marketing messages based on these insights
