Hugo - Meeting Notes Software vs. Output Time vs. Socialtext (discontinued)

I think it's important to understand that software recommendations do not come up casually during conversations with your friends so recommending it with no agenda is off the table. However, if someone asks me for tips on note-taking during calls my first priority would be OneNote because it just has more functionality and is usually built-in, meaning you don't have to search for anything online. The second priority would be Hugo though.

Is well suitable for agencies, consultancy businesses and law firms.

We use Social Text as a platform to air our issues with different departments. We voice our concerns and suggestions so we can help find a solution to the problems we incur on a daily basis. We need to have social text as an app so we can communicate in real time not only during work hours.

• The Hugo extension for Google Calendar may be used to arrange and follow up on meetings, both online and offline, as part of your Google calendar.

• Version history - Always keeps the edited versions and one can revert back any time
• Creating and Editing an article is very easy and intutive
• Sharing the articles with peers

• Platform is pretty simple and we use basic; there are probably many features we have not yet realized exist
• I don't think many other firms are using it, so can't use across the profession

• Some times the data on the Project View is not consistent with the task view or the time view.
• The software doesn't handle cache right

• Search needs a ton of improvements. It was very slow a year ago
• Search result quality was also not that good
• I know they have improved their UI recently but when i used it last year it did not really have any design elements which could be used to make the articles look more presentable. It was important for us as we used it for external communication as well.

We have a lot of info in Socialtext already. It would be hard to get all that info out and port it to a different system

The quality of support is better with Hugo. Ease of use is also good with Hugo than when compared to Coda. Hugo met our requirements, so decided to choose it over Coda. It is easier to set up Hugo when compared to Coda and it saves a lot of time.

It has all the thing need it included on the price, and works perfectly online. I didn't have to rely on third-parties to get basic features like time management or budget management. Also the setup process is quite easy and fast, we were able to setup this and migrate all our data in less than a day.

I frankly like Confluence better than socialtext because of the speed and the quality of search. They also have better design elements which can help make the articles pleasant to the eyes.

• Serves as good reference tool for important conversations that impact business objectives
